We started designing sustainable, Zero-Waste and eco-friendly products 15 years ago. We were the first company in the world to detox landfills, buying massive amounts of hard to recycle post-consumer plastic trash with the intent of eliminating cardboard moving boxes.

Everyone we pitched insisted that no one would ever rent an eco-friendly, Zero-Waste recycled plastic moving box to move. We knew that using trash to reinvent a clean and green moving box to chang the way America moves without waste just made sense.

We proved them all wrong.

The following year, we won the prestigious 2008 Governor's Environmental and Economic Leadership Award ( GEELA AWARD ) for new market technologies in recycling. We continued to win another 126 awards within the environmental, business and design communities for our innovative first to market products, green leadership and overall product stewardship.

When we decided to eliminate the waste within the moving industry we had no idea that in the process, we would  also birth an entire new industry in America: On-Demand, Zero-Waste, Rentable and Reusable Moving Boxes.

 Rent A Green Box changed the way the world moves. We created the Zero-Waste moving box rental industry, built it and then donated the company to Good Cause Box- an amazing pre and post moving donation system.

Building Rent A Green Box to see it go nationwide with Good Cause Box has been an honor to say the least.

As they say, one great green idea always leads to another.

Since we've spent the last 15 years making green products, we decided to focus on innovating environmentally friendly consumer household products with a purpose; using massive amounts of sustainable, recycled, up-cycled, alt-cycled and post consumer materials.

Our decision to continue to design and create innovative eco-friendly products is pretty simple- we really love what we do and know you will too!

Instead of selling our products to major retailers and big box stores, we decided to cut out all of the middle men and sell directly to you at a lower prices.

WHERE SOUL MEETS PRIDE

Our company name started 15 years ago when our founder, Spencer Brown brought to market the first Zero Waste Moving Box Rental Company in America called Rent A Green Box.

Since he was buying massive piles of hard to recycle plastic trash to make his famous green moving boxes, as a sign of respect, the trash haulers started calling him EL LION DE BASURA ( translation is: The King of Trash ). Over the past decade, he continued to make 41 innovative eco-friendly packing and moving products from post consumer and industrial trash. The entire trash/recycling and industry continued to call him EL LION and the name stuck.  

Five years ago, Spence lost his older brother Paul. It was a very sad time for Spence and his family. One fond memory of his brother was his love of little birds, especially finches. To honor Paul, Spence started to put little green finches on all of his product marketing and packaging designs. When people asked about the green finches, Spence always smiles and says that it's a simple way to honor the soul of his brother, Paulbert.

LIONFINCH for Spencer is WHERE SOUL MEETS PRIDE. 

To this day, everyone in the trash, processing, hauling and recycling industry still call him EL LION. And Spence still puts a little green finch on every product he makes.
